We have witnessed several negative product reviews on wide angle converter with close up on the online. It does not make any difference if it is a 0.45x wide converter , 0.5 wide converter or even 0.7x wide angle converter lens. So long as it is a wide angle converter , most of the product reviews are for some reason discouraging prospective customers against it.
It does not take much convincing that the image level of quality on wide angle converter lens are not as good as those certain wide angle lens from sigma, panasonic, leica, pentax. One of the principal problem of working with a wide angle converter lens is experiencing severe distortion of straight lines, in particular at close up range photo.
